Good Choice for Old Manila

Nice big lobby, rooms are very clean, staff are friendly, strong wifi, swimming pool, free parking and their restaurant serves simple yet delicious dishes. If you're in search of a hotel (which by the way has a casino too) that's right in the heart of Old Manila, near Quiapo, Chinatown or Intramuros, then I highly recommend this place. But if you are looking for a high-end, classy area with high-rise buildings, parks, fine dining, huge shopping malls, etc. then you'll be at the wrong place! We stayed there primarily to revisit the iconic places of Old Manila, mostly are within walking distance.

We occupied 2 rooms and sadly, both had no windows. Also, the towels provided are too less, no hand nor face towels, but only 1 bath towel. There are just 2 elevators for the entire hotel that is seemingly very busy and full, so you will have to wait a while for your turn.

It’s ok for short period.

Property is close to shops which is common in Manila though. Staff were good. Food is ok

Room is not spacious. Surprisingly, the name didn’t meet my standards. I was expecting much from this hotel as its name is “grand opera hotel”.

The location is good. The place is clean. The swimming pool is fine. Staff are courteous.

The internet is very slow! Some staff are not feeling well (coughing, stuffy nose) YET they are not wearing face mask. These are food attendants, servers!

All in all i will rate it as 8 to 9 in room accommodation,room service, food and customer service.

Room is ideal. Break is very good with daily varieties ofn menus. Pool is clean and the depth is ideal. Staff are so accommodating.

The tv channels has only one channel ..8. during my stay on Oct n14 to 16.

Great for one night

I liked that the place was centrally located. The interiors are nice. It's so obvious that it's steeped in history. The staff are all wonderful and so helpful and kind.

For the room I stayed in, the TV was an old model which I would not have an issue with if the color was ok but it was mostly green. The AC was dripping by the afternoon so we had to call a maintenance person. The other amenities were ok but it's an older hotel that needs maintenance. The Videoke bar was ok but the sound system was also older. The slot machines are new but there wasn't a lot of assistance (maybe because I went there in the afternoon). Sauna was closed. The food was so so. I think it's perfect if you're tired from work and the TV and the little stuff don't bother you. I don't think it's a leisure place though.

It was a pleasant experience staying there. If I ever return, the hotel would be my first choice.

I was impressed with the service of the staff and the respect and pleasantness I was shown. Any issues with the room were attended quickly and professionally. The room was compact ( I am a tall person). I chose the hotel because it was in the area I wanted tom stay

The bed was somewhat harder than I am used to but I realise it is difficult to cater for all tastes.

The staff are very polite. I was able to park.

The toilet seat cover cant stay in the up position so you have to clean it evertime you have to sit because it has pee on it. Also the ref isnt working.
